One of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, stretching back over 25,000 years, is engulfed by its foggy hillsides. With roughly 400 plant species, the forest is one of Africa’s most diversified ecosystems. There are 320 mountain gorillas (about half of the world’s population), 350 bird species, 120 mammals, and many others… The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park should not be missed.
At lake Mburo, there are approximately 300 bird species in the park, including zebra, hippopotamus, impala, warthog, common eland, African buffalo, jackal, and African leopard. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks, covering only 260 square kilometres (100 square miles). Visitors can stay in the park’s camp sites or use the park’s permanent tent amenities.
lake Bunyonyi is one of Africa's deepest lakes and one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world, surrounded by several islands with fascinating stories to tell. You'll check into the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay when you arrive.
Following your arrival, you will proceed on an evening Batwa community visit to see the indigenous Batwa people. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at a mid-range lodge/Gorilla camp on a full-board basis in the evening.
While at the gorilla tracking adventure in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forests, you will be briefed and then assigned ranger guides. The ranger guides will bring you through the Gorilla pathways, where you will get the opportunity to encounter many of the park's other primate species. After you've tracked the gorillas, you'll spend approximately an hour taking as many photos and movies as you can. Dinner and an overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Camp will be on a full-board basis later that evening.
Zebras, impalas, and other well-known animal species call Lake Mburo home. After lunch, you'll travel to Mbarara town and then inside the park. Before settling into the Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay, go on a sunset wildlife drive.
