Honeymoon Holidays

After the wedding celebrations with family and friends,

the couple needs to go somewhere lovely, far away from the chaos, to enjoy each other’s company, unwind, and plan for their new life together as a married couple.

Action-packed honeymoon holiday

Planning an outstanding honeymoon is not something you can accomplish in a single morning; it takes time to prepare and acquire enough information about the destination to ensure that you have a memorable honeymoon experience.

Consider the attractions, activities for couples, costs, comfort, and, of course, the romantic atmosphere.

It does not have to be an expensive location, but it should be attractive, unique, romantic, doable, and above all, a quality location worth your money and effort.

Where to go

Uganda has a diverse range of attractions, towns, national parks, and landscapes, so there is lots of variation. There are specific routes around Uganda that are fantastic places to start for honeymooners in terms of logistics. The southern route, which includes Entebbe, Kibale Forest (chimp trekking), Queen Elizabeth National Park (safari), and Bwindi National Park, is the first (gorilla trekking). This is an excellent choice for honeymooners on a budget and limited time.

The second option is to simply extend the southern itinerary by visiting other parks. Murchison Falls National Park is a fantastic alternative for people looking for a more traditional safari, as it offers game drives, boat safaris, and abundant birdlife.

Kidepo Valley National Park, located in the country’s far north, is the last park on the Uganda itinerary to be considered. This park, which borders South Sudan, has a drier, savannah-like topography. Combining both parks requires more planning because you must fly up to this location and then back down to either Murchison Falls or Bwindi National Park further south.

Budget
A luxurious Uganda honeymoon can be costly, but in general, your money will stretch in Uganda. Most African safaris require payment of park fees and permits, which cannot be avoided. The money raised from park fees is used to assist conserve and protect the parks, usually through education and training programmes.

If you want to see primates in Uganda, you’ll need to pay for and get a permission before you go. This is presently $600 per person each journey for mountain gorillas (but it is set to climb to $750 in 2020). The cost of a chimp permit varies from $35 to $150 per person every trip, depending on which forest you visit. Park fees are added to safari bookings in Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, and Queen Elizabeth Park.

Where do I begin?
A smart place to start when arranging your Uganda honeymoon is to give us a general budget and we can go from there. We can recommend a schedule based on the sort of animal and activity you want to see and do, or we can put together an example itinerary based on what previous guests have done or what we would recommend looking at first. Then it’ll only be a matter of fine-tuning specific qualities and elements to ensure that your honeymoon is flawless.
