The Paara boat trip to the bottom of the falls is the most popular attraction in Murchison Falls National Park, which is a renowned Uganda safari destination. The park is located on the shores of Lake Albert in northwest Uganda. Murchison Falls is its most famous feature, as the Victoria Nile River rushes through a narrow breach over a massive drop. Large creatures like elephants and hippos live in the park, while chimps can be spotted in the Kanyiyo Padidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. Game fishing is available in the Karuma Falls cascades.
